Graft fighters from the United Arab Emirates visited Hong Kong to join ICAC’s four-day Professional Anti-Corruption Programme
2026-02-24 - 2026-02-27
The Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption organized a four-day professional anti-corruption programme for the anti-corruption officers from the UAE Accountability Authority and Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority. The programme enabled in-depth exchanges of law enforcement experiences, further strengthening anti-corruption cooperation between Hong Kong and the Middle East.
The programme covered the ICAC's successful anti-corruption strategies, financial investigation techniques, and practical insights on technology applications. Programme participants engaged in simulated investigation scenarios to gain hands-on experience with ICAC's professional investigation methods.
Coinciding with Ramadan in Arab countries, programme participants along with the Director and Deputy Director of Academy attended a Ramadan event hosted by the UAE Consulate General in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region upon invitation. This promoted cultural interactions and friendly relations between Hong Kong and the Middle East.
The Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption (HKIAAC), under the ICAC, has long been dedicated to advancing international anti-corruption training. Through collaboration with institutions worldwide, the Academy nurtures professional talent and promotes the exchange of expertise. This programme further strengthened ties with Arab anti-corruption agencies, contributing to a clean society. HKIAAC will continue to uphold its mission of providing professional support to anti-corruption officers globally and fostering a culture of integrity.
