ICAC Officers Visit Egypt to Complete the First Regional Capacity Building Programme for Arab Countries
2026-2-25
ICAC officers recently travelled to Cairo, Egypt, to co-organize a three-day Capacity Building Programme with Egypt’s Administrative Control Authority, incorporating Hong Kong’s inherited Eastern wisdom with Egypt’s millennia-old cultural heritage in the anti-corruption field. Anti-corruption officers from five Arab countries—Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, Libya, and Saudi Arabia have joined the programme to participate in professional exchanges and strengthen regional cooperation.
The programme covered the ICAC’s successful anti-corruption strategies, financial investigation techniques, and practical experience sharing, while interactive discussions further enhanced the professional knowledge of participants. Mr. Zhang Yaqiang, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, also attended the opening ceremony.
The Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption (HKIAAC), under the ICAC, has long been dedicated to advancing international anti-corruption training. Through collaboration with institutions worldwide, the Academy nurtures professional talent and promotes the exchange of expertise. The recent programme in Cairo further strengthened ties with Arab anti-corruption agencies, contributing to a clean society. HKIAAC will continue to uphold its mission of providing professional support to anti-corruption officers globally and fostering a culture of integrity.
