The ICAC and Hong Kong Customs joined hands to share their experiences at the UNODC conference on anti-corruption measures in customs and border control, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan

Recently, the ICAC and the Customs and Excise Department (Hong Kong Customs) jointly attended the “Strengthening Anti-Corruption Measures in Customs and Border Control” Workshop organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 28-29 October 2025. During the workshop, the delegation shared Hong Kong’s anti-corruption strategies in border services, as well as the collaborative efforts between the two departments to strengthen integrity management. Participants expressed interest in the close partnership between the ICAC and Hong Kong Customs in maintaining clean and transparent border operations, and hoped to draw insights from Hong Kong’s successful anti-corruption practices.
In addition, the ICAC and Hong Kong Customs representatives paid a visit to Mr. Lyu Yi, Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to share the ICAC’s work in advancing international anti-corruption cooperation. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views and receive valuable feedback from the Deputy Consul General.
The ICAC and Hong Kong Customs have been collaborating closely with each other on integrity management. This joint visit further enhanced the promotion of international cooperation and exchange of experiences. The ICAC and Hong Kong Customs will further strengthen our anti-corruption collaboration to work towards a corruption-free world.
