The HKIAAC has once again partnered with the UNODC to conduct an anti-corruption workshop in Mongolia

From September 16 to 20, the HKIAAC and UNODC co-hosted a five-day workshop aimed at over 30 graft fighters from the Mongolia’s Independent Authority Against Corruption (IAAC), the Mongolian Prosecutor General’s Office and the National Police Agency. Experts from both the ICAC and the UNODC shared their insights on financial investigations, asset recovery and multi-agency cooperation with the delegation.  During their stay in Mongolia, ICAC officers also took the opportunity to visit Madam Shen Minjuan, Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, to introduce the ICAC’s international cooperation achievements and the latest developments.

Notably, one of the speakers from the UNODC was Victor Lee Wai-hong, a Senior Investigator of the ICAC. At the beginning of 2023, Mr. Lee was nominated by the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (OCMFA) of the People's Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to participate in the United Nations Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme, leading to his assignment at the UNODC.
