Officers of HKIAAC Visited Mali in Africa

In order to strengthen anti-corruption training cooperation with Belt and Road countries, HKIAAC sent ICAC officers to visit Mali from 4 to 8 March to provide a capacity-building training programme for over 90 anti-graft personnel of the Central Office for the Fight against Illicit Enrichment (OCLEI) of Mali, with emphasis on exchanging investigative experiences and anti-corruption strategies. Mr Chen Zhihong, Chinese Ambassador to Mali, attended the opening ceremony of the training programme.  In an interview with the Office of Radio and Television of Mali, Ambassador Chen pointed out that collaborative efforts in anti-corruption is a new highlight within the framework of the pragmatic China-Mali relation.  During their stay, the ICAC officers were received by Ambassador Chen who was briefed on the development of anti-corruption efforts in Hong Kong as well as ICAC’s work on international cooperation.
