Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) of the Republic of South Africa and the ICAC, and to strengthen their commitment to collaboration in the fight against corruption, the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption organised a professional anti-corruption programme for the SIU from 31 October to 5 November.  Officers from the ICAC conducted both in-person and online training sessions for over 200 personnel from SIU, as well as representatives from other South African law enforcement agencies, with an emphasis on exchanging anti-corruption strategies and investigative experiences.  During their stay in Pretoria, ICAC officers met with the Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, Mr. Wu Peng, and updated Ambassador Mr Wu on Hong Kong’s situation on anti-corruption development and ICAC’s involvement in fostering international cooperation.
